How we work
A small studio that builds your software, operates it for you, and puts continuity in writing — so a small studio is a strength, not a risk.
Most vendors build software and leave. We build it and run it — which is the whole point. Here is what that actually means.
Build, fit to you
We design the system around how your team really works — your referral sources, your intake steps, your compliance checks — not a generic template you have to bend to. Development is AI-amplified, so a small studio can ship enterprise-grade software on a realistic timeline and budget.
Operate, hands-off for you
Once it’s live, changes don’t require you to manage a developer. You file a plain request — “add this field,” “update this language,” “new building goes live Monday” — and an automated request → ship loop applies the change, validates the build, and deploys it. Your software stays current with near-zero overhead on your side.
That’s not a slide. This very website runs on the same loop — a change is filed, the build is checked, and it ships automatically. We operate the thing we sell.
Continuity, in writing
A small studio is a fair thing to worry about. So we answer it on paper, before you ask:
- Source escrow — you (or a third party) hold the code.
- Runbooks — how the system is deployed, operated, and recovered, documented.
- A hand-off plan — a written path so another engineer could take over.
When it makes sense, you own the IP outright. When you’d rather we own and operate it, the continuity plan is how we make that safe.
Repeatable, not luck
This isn’t a one-off. The same build-and-operate model — and the request→ship loop above — already runs Katy Trail Dallas in production today: not a brochure site but an operated platform, with live integrations into its Blackbaud donor systems, that we build, host, and maintain — where changes are filed as tickets and ship automatically. We’ve also built and run a point-of-sale system across roughly a thousand retail locations for a national automotive retailer. Different domains; the same disciplined delivery.
What we’re not
We’re deliberately low-volume and high-retention — a handful of operators we can keep running well. We’re not a sign-up-and-good-luck SaaS, and we’re not the right call if you need a 200-person support floor. If you want software that fits your admissions and stays maintained, that’s exactly what we do.
